Philip P. Caspers | Samuel A. Hamer

In this litigation against PCI Technologies, Carlson Caspers enforced ADC patents relating to passive and active radio frequency modules used in Cable TV headends.  In a first action (2002), Phil Caspers and Tim Lindquist won a settlement that included a complete injunction against all accused products.  In 2008, after it was discovered that PCI had resumed infringement, the team filed a second action.  Big-picture thinking by the team in early settlement discussions resulted in a very successful resolution as part of a larger business transaction between the parties.
