Sarita Matheson focuses on patent litigation and counseling. She is a registered U.S. patent attorney with experience in complex patent litigation for clients that focus on biomedical and life sciences products and services. Sarita’s experience includes representing generic pharmaceutical companies and managing the complexities of the Hatch-Waxman Act.
Sarita’s experience includes representing clients for life sciences at the Federal Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court. She also counsels’ clients on intellectual property issues such as the strategic usage and management of global patent portfolios and threats of litigation.
Sarita was a judicial clerk for Judge Edward Wahl, Minnesota Fourth Judicial District, prior to entering private practice. She previously worked at a New York-based law firm in Chicago.
Sarita was a Legal Fellow of the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps in Minneapolis and is a member of LCLD Pathfinder Program, an organization that supports diversity in the legal profession.
Sarita spent her early years in Illinois and moved to the Twin Cities for her graduate degree and Juris Doctorate. When she isn’t working, Sarita enjoys biking, reading, yoga, and spending time with her family and hanging out with her Goldendoodle, Sydney.
