Elvis Kim recently joined Carlson Caspers after graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School. His legal career was propelled by joining Carlson Caspers as a summer clerk and interning with Cargill through a legal diversity partnership program. He focuses on patent litigation and counseling.

Elvis’s strengths include keen research, analysis skills, and writing briefs. His recent contributions include analysis of several pharmaceutical claim construction hearings. He has researched cases using Daubert standards to discredit an expert testimony and uncover legal issues involving induced infringement. He also drafted a joint defense agreement and proofread and cite-checked a federal appellate brief.

In 2018, Elvis was a contributor to the 2018 Midwest IP Institute Manual & IP Book (IP trends in the manufacturing industry).

Prior to becoming an attorney, Elvis worked as paralegal for the New York County District Attorney’s Office where he handled criminal misdemeanor complaints.
