Matthew Klaes focuses on litigation involving patents, copyrights, and trademarks. Utilizing his chemistry background, he became a registered patent agent prior to going to law school.
Matthew has assisted clients with patent drafting and responding to USPTO Office Actions, as well as litigation involving trade dress, and patents of various technologies.
While in law school, Matthew served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Iowa Law Review, overseeing the publication of five issues of legal scholarship from initial substantive edits to the final print.
Matthew enjoys exploring new restaurants and going to live theater with his partner Zach.
