Matthew Goggin represented 3M Company in a declaratory judgment action brought by Strandtek to challenge the enforceability of a 3M patent on the use of microfiber webs as acoustical insulation in automobiles. Before any discovery was taken, the court granted summary judgment to 3M on Strandtek’s inequitable conduct claim, ending the litigation. Western District of Michigan (2001).
